‘Elder Scrolls Online’ DLC currently on test server, public in November

A new adventure awaits you in the realm of Tamriel, as Zenimax Online Studios sent their newest addition to The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited to public test servers October 5. This new DLC titled Orsinium will be the second official downloadable add-on to come to the subscription-free version of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.

Much like the first Imperial City DLC, this pack will be released in two pieces: the paid DLC pack with its exclusive content and a free patch for the vanilla version of the game. Orsinium brings 20 additional hours of story content that will be released free to ESO Plus members or available for non-Plus subscribers in the crown store. The base Orsinium DLC will go for 300 crowns while the collector’s bundle (which includes a cave bear mount, a cave bear cub, and five crown experience scrolls) costs 5,000 crowns.

This will be the first time in The Elder Scrolls saga since the second installment: The Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall that players can head into the province of Orsinium, ancestral home of the Orcs. Along with the new location to venture through comes new gear equip and craft, over an hour of additional musical score for your listening pleasure, and new world bosses to fight.

The free patch will contain bug fixes, increased drop rates, and a cap to Champion Points as well as the official gamepad support PC gamers have been waiting for since the original release date in 2014. Subtitles will be updated in all platforms, and other features such as shield dyeing, and a new crafting style based on the Akaviri race make their appearance as well.

Zenimax Online Studios and Bethesda Softworks invite all owners of the Mac or PC version of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited to join the public test servers and set foot in Orsinium to prove both their mettle and try out the additional content before its official release.

We will see the patch and DLC on different dates for each platform: November 2 will be the Mac/PC official release; Xbox One gamers can join the fight November 17; and finally PlayStation 4 players will see their update on November 18.

Prepare for quite the experience in Tamriel as players move forward to the mountains of Wrothgar to find the city of Orsinium deep inside. Don’t find yourself locked outside the city gates and make sure to download the update on your favorite platform in November.
