‘Halo 5’ countdown stream tonight, release tomorrow

With the release of Halo 5: Guardians being mere hours away (October 27), the team at Microsoft will be working with YouTube to make Halo 5: Live tonight. The show will begin at 6p EDT and last for six hours until the East Coast release of the game at Midnight EDT.

The show will feature Xbox’s Major Nelson, Nerdists’s Jessica Chobot, Blair Hertel, and Geoff Keighley, the producer of The Game Awards as hosts for the events.

Mike Ybarra, the Director of Program Management for Xbox tweeted a teaser for tonight’s show: “I encourage everyone to watch Halo 5: Live. You might hear about things beyond Halo. ;)”

Sounds like there will be some more interesting information and fun tonight will bring on top of all the release hype.

The stream tonight will be a YouTube Gaming exclusive with more information found at xbox.com/halo5live.

While I do not have an Xbox One to play the newest edition of the Halo franchise, I will certainly join in the launch party fun and eagerly await the hopeful PC version announcement.
