‘Just Cause 3’ PC specs revealed

‘Just Cause 3’ PC specs revealed

Only one week remains until we grab our trusty grappling hook for the next installation of the Just Cause series. Granted we may have to shake the dust off of it given the last game was released in 2010. In preparation for launch, Avalanche Studios took to twitter this week to announce the PC specs for the anticipated sandbox game, Just Cause 3.

On December 1, 2015 Rico Rodriguez will return once again to topple the regime of some ruthless dictator. He will cause mass destruction, grapple to and fro, and hijack anything that moves in order to complete his mission. However, the heat you might be feeling isn’t coming from all the gunfire and smoke.

Just Cause 3 may have your GPU running a little hot; between the massive size of the playable map (that is, 400 square miles), frequent explosions, and general mayhem that give the series its name, there is a lot of work for your PC to do to show you the gorgeous end result (at least, if this E3 playthrough’s any indicator):

The tyrannous General DiRavello will not take himself out of power. It’s up to you to take control of Rico and rescue the Republic of Medici. Just make sure your machine can handle it.

For other gamers like me who don’t see their OS listed, don’t worry: the Just Cause 3 team responded on Twitter saying that it will in fact run on Windows 10:

The recommended specs look a little beefy for the new destructive sandbox. Black Friday would be a good time to pick up some new components if you’re looking to overthrow General DiRavello in ultra quality.

Truthfully it has been hard for me to put down my copy of Fallout 4 since it came out. Just Cause 3 just might be the game to snap me out of it and let me explore and play the role of the human equivalent of a nuke while I destroy everything I see.
